This course combines the flexibility of online learning with essential hands-on training, providing 241.5 hours of education. You'll gain the knowledge and skills needed to excel in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and prepare for the National Registry AEMT exams.

To enroll in the Initial AEMT Hybrid Course, you must hold a current Basic Life Saver/CPR Certification and be certified as an EMT by the National Registry (NREMT) or your state. Additional prerequisites include uploading a Course Enrollment Agreement, High School Diploma or GED, and valid identification. This course is ideal for EMTs looking to advance their careers in EMS.

The course is divided into online learning and in-person skills training. The online portion is accessible 24/7 and includes 241.5 hours of educational content, virtual simulation scenarios, and test prep tools. The in-person training is held at our Las Vegas facility, consisting of a 6-day hands-on skills week, psychomotor skills testing, and two 12-hour clinical ride-alongs with local EMS providers.

The Initial AEMT Hybrid Course is designed to be completed in as little as 90 days, but you have up to one year to finish all requirements, including the online modules, hands-on skills labs, and clinical rotations. If you need additional time or face any challenges, our support team can assist you with your options. The course must be completed within one year from the start date. No extensions are granted

Upon successfully completing the course and passing the National Registry AEMT written and psychomotor exams, you will be eligible for NREMT certification as an Advanced EMT (AEMT). The course is designed to meet all educational requirements for certification, and you will receive a Certificate of Completion from NAR-T, which is recognized by relevant health departments and EMS agencies.

After completing your online course, attending skills week, participating in your ride along, and submitting all required paperwork to the registration manager, your next step is to schedule your National Registry AEMT written exam at a third-party testing facility. To do this, you will need to schedule your exam through the Pearson Vue website at https://home.pearsonvue.com. They have testing facilities worldwide, so you can find a location nearest to you.

We do not offer payment plans for significant reasons. The course is designed for self-paced distance learning and can be completed in a "boot camp style" in as little as 30 days. Full payment is a prerequisite for accessing the course modules.

Since we are a distance learning training school, we also do not require students to purchase uniforms, or have any kind of dress code policy for the in-person skills.

    • "NAR was a fantastic training facility with some of the most knowledgeable instructors I’ve ever met. They are incredibly willing to help and make sure you have a good grasp and understanding, the program itself (AEMT) was very thorough and detailed and the training facility is amazing. I would recommend NAR to anyone looking for more training and to expand their scope"
      - Alexis Estrada (AEMT Student)
"I was looking to upgrade my EMT to AEMT online at a fair price and this place seemed to fit the bill. After initial contact they were super responsive and gave me a good amount of information about the course and the way things worked. You can finish the course pretty quick if you wish or take time to understand the material better but a year is more than enough time. The hands on portion of the class was super easy to schedule, the office where training is has some of the friendliest office people. The office is set up so you have access to water, cokes, snacks all day while you work on the hand on portion. The instructors were super friendly and make you feel at ease as they know people get nervous about testing. The good part is the national registry people show up for the last day so you can get that part of the NREMT out of the way. Most of my class were first time passes at the stations, and of the several people I talked to after class we all have passed the NREMT advanced test with first time goes also. Great program dont just look at it email them and get started and advance your self."
      - Matt Martin (AEMT)
"Very informative! Took my EMT course through NAR and currently working through my AEMT. Highly recommend this program! Any questions I have get answered promptly without any hassle. Also, the staff is insightful about how to acquire jobs and further training."
